The Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Direction and Administration fills a gap in our institution’s higher education offerings, with an emphasis on business sciences. It is a new and relevant field that enables the School to provide comprehensive solutions for the business and administrative sectors.
The importance of the business world and the internationalization of markets highlight the relevance of professionals in this field, who must possess a range of skills and competencies, not only from a technical perspective but also on a personal level.
They should, therefore, possess several fundamental requirements, including:
• Good communicators and public relations skills – essential for interacting with the public, including clients, suppliers, and visitors. Mastery of both spoken and written Portuguese, English, and even Spanish is crucial.
• Good organizers – an important skill for organizing meetings, events, and travel.
• Good information managers and proficient in using IT tools – these skills are essential for preparing and reproducing documents, exchanging messages and data files via email, and planning and managing tasks.
• Skilled in the organization and preservation of archival documents – necessary for effective document management.
• Good knowledge of general Management and Accounting principles – important for supporting business operations.
• Good understanding of general principles of Law, Ethics, and Professional Conduct – key competencies for responsible action that earns the trust of supervisors.
• Strong professionals – able to navigate the center of communication processes within organizations/companies in terms of interpersonal relationships.
