Traineeship Mobility (SMT)
This programme offers IPC students or graduates the opportunity to undertake a work placement abroad for a minimum period of 2 to 12 months per study cycle. The work placement can be carried out in higher education institutions, research centers, companies or any entity or organization based in the EU.
Erasmus Mobility can take place in one of the 28 countries of the European Union, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Macedonia and Turkey (excluding Portugal).
The Erasmus+ Programme allows three types of internships:
Curricular Internships: are academically recognized within the scope of the course and are integrated into the work developed for the corresponding curricular unit (Internship/Project/Thesis);
Extracurricular Internships: are carried out by students, but as they do not have equivalence in the course curriculum, they must be included in the Diploma Supplement.
Internships for New Graduates: these internships must be completed within one year after graduating. You can apply while you are a student (in your final year).
The Students/New Graduates have several ways of finding a work placement:
Contacting directly the companies or organizations they are interested in;
Contacting teachers/course directors for advice and information on any international internship offer they may be aware of;
Search for offers on the International Office’s official Facebook page;
Consult some international websites and platforms that have internship offers and submit their application.
