Mission and goals
Aiming to follow the mission to which it has been created – “to develop, implement and coordinate ISCAC’s coordination in the organisation’s internal and external community, contributing for the creation, consolidation and keeping of the institution’s image” – the Communication and Image Office has the following competences:
Development of the communication plan:
Characterisation of the surrounding environment;
Identification of the communication goals;
Identification and characterisation of the target-audiences;
Definition of the main means and messages;
Development of the necessary actions and resources
Development of the institutional communication:
Spreading of ISCAC’s actions in the media, namely through press releases, press conferences, press packs and contacts for advertising;
Support in the communication development of ISCAC’s actions and of the different ISCAC’s bodies in relevant external audiences, such as: the Ministry of Science and Higher Education, IPC and its respective institutes, other relevant Schools and/or Schools with which ISCAC has signed protocols, employers and professionals’ associations, commercial and industrial associations, public administration, companies, alumni, local community, among others;
To prepare, support, organise and guide meetings and cerimonial visits
Development of the degrees’ communication:
Elaboration and implementation of courses, workshops, conferences, seminars and talks, training sessions, ISCAC’s scientific publications, among others;
Development of visits to schools, participation in educational and vocational fairs, organisation of visits to ISCAC, among others. These activities will be developed, whenever possible, in articulation with IPC, and they aim to contact potential candidates to Higher Education;
Development of material to promote ISCAC’s products;
Promotion and management of merchandising material;
Support in the development of information to be published on ISCAC’s Website and social media
Development of internal communication:
Welcoming and integration of ISCAC’s new students and collaborators;
Collaboration in the preparation of internal information in different channels aiming to promote events organised by ISCAC’s several bodies, offices, lecturers and students;
Collect, organise and promote information transmitted by the media – information which is relevant to ISCAC – and organise its respective archive;
Support the promotion of external initiatives which are relevant for the internal audience
Development of marketing information:
Collaboration in the studies development about current students, potential students and other types of target’s satisfaction or decisions;
Participation in the analysis and promotion of actions carried out and their impact on ISCAC’s performance, of the goals to be reached and the collaborators’ expected engagement
